HOW YOU CAN HELP
In rural Uganda, decades of war and the impact of HIV/AIDS have left a generation of children being raised by grandparents, relatives, or even older siblings. Nearly half the population is under 17, and in many villages, there is no access to early childhood education. Our work starts with a nursery school that provides young children with early learning, nutrition, and a safe place during the most important years of development. Also, we understand that children cannot thrive if the families raising them have no way to support themselves. Alongside the school, we provide vocational training for caregivers, including skills like tailoring, hair styling, and farming , that help them earn income locally.
To support our mission, your involvement creates real opportunities for children to learn, grow, and build a better future. The goal is simple but powerful: start with the children, strengthen the families, and build a self-sustaining community.

Retirement Assets
Retirement assets can be a powerful way to make a charitable gift. Because they may pass free of income and estate taxes, the full value of your gift can go directly to support WE Foundations.
A Qualified Charitable Distribution(QCD) from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) is a tax-efficient way to give. It allows you to direct funds to charity while potentially reducing your taxable income. If you are age 70½ or older and have an IRA, a QCD allows you to reduce your taxable income while increasing your impact. Talk with your financial advisor, estate planning attorney, or CPA to see if this strategy is a good fit for your situation.
Gift Stock
Donating appreciated stock to WE Foundations may be one of the smartest gifts you can make. By giving stock that has grown in value, you may avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation while deducting the full fair market value of your gift. That means more of your wealth goes directly to the people we serve — not to taxes. We’d love to work with your financial advisor to make the transfer simple. Reach out today to learn more.
Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Recommend a grant to WE Foundations. Because they are easy to use and offer strong tax benefits, donor-advised funds have become one of the most popular ways to give in the United States.
Life Insurance
As a donor, you may designate WE Foundations as a beneficiary to receive some or all the proceeds of a life insurance policy.
Bequests
A gift of any size can be made through your will or estate plan, helping ensure that WE Foundations receives meaningful support in the future. Bequests are not subject to estate tax, allowing more of your gift to go directly toward the mission.
Sponsor a Child (Recurring)
Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and build a future — yet for many children in Uganda, the cost of school fees, uniforms, and supplies puts education out of reach. By sponsoring a child, your support provides the essentials that make consistent attendance possible: tuition, materials, and nutritional meals.
Sponsorship is more than a transaction; it’s a relationship. You’ll have the chance to follow a child’s progress, exchange letters, and witness firsthand how your generosity reshapes a life. The impact ripples outward too…. educated children grow into community leaders, caregivers, and change-makers who lift those around them.
One-Time
Donations
